Regular Meeting -

Please note that there will be a regular monthly meeting of the municipal council of Grand Falls on July 14, 2020 starting at 1 p.m. Agenda coming soon. Note that the meeting will be webcast live and it is now possible to attend the meeting in person. See the agenda in PDF.

Special meeting -

Please be advised that a special public meeting of the Grand Falls town council will be held on Friday, August 7th, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. at the municipal complex. The objective of this meeting is to adopt a motion for application to the Municipal Capital Borrowing Board and to start procedures for a rezoning on Main Street. Residents are invited to attend the meeting in person. This meeting will not be streamed on Facebook.

Other Public Notices     

Certain roads within the Town of Grand Falls are now officially open to ATV/Side-by-side members crossing the Ron Turcotte Bridge to Broadway Blvd to then connect to the NB Rail Bed to proceed via Perth Andover. You can also take Main Street onto Ouellette Street to access the Best Western and or Ultramar Gas Bar. Please refer to the QUADNB2020 Application on your cell phones or go to Quadnb.ca and go to Discover tab to see the map and allowed roads within the Town and all of NB ATV Trails.

 

You will find the map with the streets which are now accessible by members of the ATV club, the letter of approval and municipal by-law no. 20 designating parts of roads accessible to off-road vehicles. (MTB and Side-by-Side only)

Bin for lawn clippings and branches

This is to advise you that the bin to drop off your lawn clippings and branches, located at the Public Works office (131 Industrial Road), is now available to residents at all times. Please take note that this bin is for residential use only and not for commercial use. Thank you!

Urban Reforestation Program

GOT PLANS TO PLANT TREES? DREAMING OF A BEAUTIFUL SHADED YARD? WHY NOT PUT IN A HEDGE? This program will reimburse 50% of the cost for the purchase of trees up to a maximum of $400 on a first come / first served basis. The program is open to anyone interested in planting trees in the municipality of Grand Falls. Please note that certain restrictions and conditions apply.

Rainwater barrel program

This program will reimburse 50% of the purchase cost of one rain barrel up to a maximum of $50 on a first come / first served basis. Anyone interested in installing a barrel to harvest rainwater within the municipality is eligible and encouraged to apply. Please note that certain restrictions and conditions apply.

Woodstove remplacement program of NB

Receive a rebate of $250 and in the Municipalities of Grand Bay-Westfield, Grand Falls and Richibucto an additional $50 incentive award for upgrading your old uncertified wood burning stove, wood burning fireplace-insert or by upgrading to a wood burning fireplace-insert in an open hearth fireplace.

Land Use Planning Service

The Land Use Planning Department is offered to all citizens residing within the limits of the Town of Grand Falls and the village of Drummond inclusively. The department issues development, building and renovation permits. It also handles all issues relating to zoning and/or subdivision plans. In addition, it remits civic numbers for 911 public security purposes. For further inquiries, please call 475-7777 ext.3.
