Mandatory Masks

The provincial government announced on October 8, 2020, that wearing masks is now mandatory in indoor public places.

This includes all municipal buildings where the public and employees interact, as well as common areas such as lobbies, elevators and hallways, and shared public spaces, including work spaces within municipal buildings.

This applies to Town Hall, the E & P Sénéchal Center, the Public Works Department, the fire station, the Police Force and the Grand Falls Public Library.

By taking the necessary precautions such as wearing a mask, washing our hands and ensuring physical distance, we can keep our Town in the yellow phase of recovery and reduce the impact of a second wave of COVID-19.

Prevention

Here are the steps we are taking to protect our employees, continue to provide essential services to residents, and help reduce the spread of the virus.

Remember to help your neighbors; be good to one another; don’t panic and, above all, minimize the risk to yourself, your family and friends.  Help reduce the possibilities of transmission by following the measures suggested by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health for New Brunswick:

  • Wash your hands often

  • Cough and sneeze into the elbow

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands

  • Cough into a tissue and throw it away

  • Stay at home if you are sick

  • Avoid contact with a sick person

  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if there is no soap and water
