The 3rd week of the month will be a garbage collections until further notice.

As of January, residents of Grand Falls will be able to use their blue recycling bin, according to the collection schedule in

The blue bin is offered free of charge to owners courtesy of the Town of Grand Falls. Note however that in the case where a second bin is necessary (damage, theft, other), subsequent bins must be paid for by the owner.

Recycling (blue bin) will be picked up once (1) once a month, the 3rd full week of each month, instead of collecting the garbage it will be recycling only. For recycling champions who may run out of space in their bin, note that the existing large blue bins will be available to owners for an indefinite period. (Former municipal garage on Main Street, Shopping center, St-Georges Church parking lot)

You can put paper, cardboard, plastic and metal in your blue bin. See below and the Solid Waste section (https://csrno.ca/en/solid-waste/) for more information on accepted recyclables. They just added the Sorting tool! which will allow you to know how to get rid of materials you no longer want.

To determine if a product is recyclable, you can refer to the symbol found on many products and packaging. The Möbius Loop is the international symbol for recycling which indicates that the product can be recycled and that it can also be made of recyclable materials as indicated by the percentage found inside the loop.

The Möbius Loop is also found on the bottom of plastic containers with a number indicating that the container can be recycled. In the North West, plastic containers with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7are recyclable. Plastic containers with number 6 are NOT recyclable in this region.
